The EuroMentorLab – Qualified mentors, empowered mentees project, supported by the Erasmus+ Programme, reached a major milestone with its kick-off meeting, held on 15–16 September 2025 in Galway, Ireland.
This first transnational meeting brought together all European partners involved in this ambitious cooperation dedicated to mentoring and employability.
A European project dedicated to mentoring
EuroMentorLab aims to design and implement a European certification framework for mentoring skills, based on:
- open badges recognised at European level,
- an innovative digital platform integrating artificial intelligence,
- a socio-constructivist approach to career and life pathway development,
- and a strong focus on inclusion, digital transformation, and sustainability (GreenComp).
The project targets mentors, guidance and support professionals, as well as young people – particularly those furthest from employment – with the goal of strengthening employability, informed choice, and empowerment.

A strong and complementary European partnership
EuroMentorLab relies on a consortium of six partner organisations, combining field expertise, academic research, and pedagogical innovation:
- Združenie pre kariérové poradenstvo a rozvoj kariéry (Slovakia) – Project Coordinator
- IDEM Cré’Actions (France)
- POWA Accompagnement (France)
- Psychmed Analytics (Ireland)
- Université de Bordeaux (France)
- Article 1 (France)
This diversity of profiles ensures an approach that is scientifically grounded, operational, and closely aligned with European realities in mentoring and career guidance.

A foundational meeting in Galway
The kick-off meeting enabled partners to:
- share a common vision of the project,
- validate the governance structure and implementation timeline,
- launch the first pedagogical and technological development activities,
- and lay the foundations for long-term European cooperation.
Over the next 30 months, EuroMentorLab will mobilise this partnership around a clear objective:
to establish mentoring as a key competence for Europe’s professional and social future.
